Never forget that leadership is the art of helping people change from who they’re thought to be to who they ought to be.

We’re PLANTING a CHURCH in Austin, Texas!

For Almita and myself, ministry has always been a huge part of our lives and nothing brings more joy to our hearts than seeing lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is with this burning desire to be used by God and be obedient to His call, that we are moving forward with this next step in our journey. That is to plant a life-giving church for people who need to hear the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

How we landed in Austin …
Almita and I discovered a shared love for everything about the city and enjoyed visiting when we could. However, it was always a get-away location and we never imagined that one day we might call Austin home.In January 2013, God began stirring our hearts to go out and start a brand new church. We began praying and asking God where He wanted us to go. Austin, Texas was the answer to our prayers. A city where 85% of the population doesn’t attend a local church.

Our Vision for Austin!

We are passionate about reaching people who have never been to church or who haven’t been in a long time. We want to be a church that focuses on these people.

Our Vision is to create a church that unchurched people will love to attend. ! Unfortunately, many unchurched people are more familiar with what the church is against, rather than what the church is for. We want Waterloo Church to be known for what we’re for.

The reason we are for the people in our city is because God is for them. The most famous verse in the Bible, John 3:16 clearly states this: “For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but will have eternal life.”

Our Partners

Waterloo Church will be a non-denominational, Gospel-centered, Bible-based, Christian church. We are partnered with the Association of Related Church (arcchurches.com). ARC exists to provide church planters and church leaders support and guidance to launch and grow life-giving churches.

The ARC will contribute $50,000 in matching funds to help us get established and “launch large” with the goal of Waterloo Church making an immediate and irrevocable impact on the city of Austin. Although church plants in America only experience approximately a 20% success rate; churches planted with the assistance of the ARC have a success rate of 93%
